Plant A Victory Garden
Our Food is Fighting
A Garden Will Make Your Rations Go Further
Seems like this would be unreal here in America. I took this photo at the National Infantry Museum in Ft. Benning (Georgia) this summer. It's a common "Victory Garden" poster, popular during WWII around the country.
Now I fear the motto should be:
WE ARE FIGHTING FOR OUR FOOD
Think I'm going to start a Raw Milk Revolution (Revelation??) or Real Milk Revolt. Or both. Something along those lines. We need something 'catchy'. :)

Another one of my favorites:
Cool posters!
ReplyDeleteI'll join your revolution, or have I already?
;-)
Oh I think you're part of the revolution.... :)
ReplyDeleteI was amazed as I researched more of these posters and their history, how dedicated the Government was back then at getting people to grow, harvest and preserve their own foods. (They were'nt so far removed from it back then as people are today!) And, in turn people did it.
Now they are trying to squelch it!
Is it an Oxymoron??
Love the posters! Count me in! :-)
